Gig at Revolver
Category: Music
Hell, what a great night I had at Revolver Upstairs this Monday past. It was the first of what I hope will be many monthly gigs to come featuring some of the artists I play on my radio show at Joy 94.9. And of course my good self! Three acts performed to a warm and fuzzy audience that stayed right until the last note was sung. Thanks everyone for being there and loving it as much as I did.
My set was over way to quickly for me, as I was loving every minute of it - even when I forgot the words to a new song! However, all good things must come to an end as they say. Only they didn't, not for the audience anyway because they were lucky enough to be entertained by two very fine singer songwriters.
Zerafina and The Silent Partners were up next, with Zerafina showing the rest of us up in her glamourous dress designed by a friend just for her. Me, I was in my trackshoes, baggy trousers and T-shirt - must make a bit more of an effort next month! Things were cookin' to such a degree that Zerafina even got us all into doing a Mexican Wave!
To finish the show Kavisha Mazzella entranced us all with a set of stunning songs, breathtaking vocals and a very, very funny sense of humour. Kavisha, we love you!
Next months show will be on Monday 26th February. My guests for that evening are not completely finalised, but I can tell that I will most certainly be doing a set (just try to stop me!) and so will the girls from Milk (Helen Begley and Emily Hayes). For those of you in Melbourne, please try to come. If it's half as good as Monday's gig it will be unbelievable.
Cheers, Kaz
