Kavisha Mazzella has been a guest Choir conductor and Musical Director for a number of years.She worked with Fire Event Creators Neil Cameron and Farida and their team to direct the 350 voice Fire event choir for the Woodford Folk Festival in 1996,1997 & 2000.Recently Kavisha directed the 600 voice 'Sing For Water" choir at the Commonwealth Games Arts Festival in Melbourne March 2006. She is currently the choir leader for "La Voce Della Luna" Italian Women's Choir which she founded in 1995.In 1996 she won the Green Room Award for Musical Direction of Graham Pitts play "Emma.Celebrazione!"Playbox Theatre Production. Kavisha is a guest teacher for the the Improvisation Department at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne Australia CORO vocal ensemble(2007)

La Voce Della Luna
La Voce Della Luna is a grassroots Community choir of approximately 30 women ranging from the ages of 30 years to 80 years old of 1st to 5th generation Italian/Australian women . We explore old traditional songs and new material that reflects Italian History in Australia.Whilst we draw on traditional songs we are not very traditional . In Italy it is mostly the men who siong in choirs. Women will sing in the church, and mostly religious songs. We sing a total folk and original repetoire ranging from the 1500's to the present day.
