In 1995 , Lee Buddle of Sound Mine Studio Perth and John Reed
co-produced, Kavisha's first solo
album" Mermaids in the Well". Solo albums of course are never a solo
effort and many good friends lent her a hand. Featuring Perth's
wonderful musicians such as Peter Grayling on Cello, Lucky Oceans
on Slide Guitar , John Reed on Cittern , Lee Buddleon Sax,flute,tin
whistles, Ross Bolleter on Accordion amongst others, it was
recieved critical
acclaim.
This album is a studio produced album with lush sounds featuring
cello,oboe and brass bands, harmonium and tamboura that colour
Kavisha's guitar based songs. A mellow album , it explores indian ,
celtic , mediterranian , brazilian world influences.
